June is the month when every gamer gets a light of hope… well, at least it feels like that and after E3 disappeared, the industry is not missing any chances and the start of summer is the start of big announcements if you missed out; don’t worry, here is the full summary of Sony’s State of Play 2022:
The 30-minute event was filled with third-party announcements, remakes, and a ton of PlayStation VR2 plans that will hype you up.
The heavyweights first
Resident Evil 4 remake appeared with a mesmerizing announcement trailer that confirmed its arrival date, prepare yourself for March 24th of next year. This masterpiece has been reimagined for 2023, preserving the essence of the original game. So, this will not disappoint any fans.
But wait! This title will include PlayStation VR2 content (still in development) so prepare to submerge yourself in pure horror.
On the other hand, Resident Evil Village will arrive on PlayStation VR2. Can you imagine? Lady Dimitrescu even closer? Yeah, we can’t wait.
We can’t forget the Zombies
Skydance Interactive and Skybound did it again, prepare for a new episode of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2 Retribution, nothing like surviving the zombie apocalypse in a fully immersive experience. According to official information, this game is scheduled to debut in late 2022, so that also gives us a release window for PSVR2.
Space adventures for anyone
No Man's Sky is currently in the best possible state and during the State of Play it was revealed that the space exploration title will be coming to PlayStation VR2. The preview shows how this game will adapt to Sony's virtual reality headset offering an unprecedented experience, specifically because of the huge universe that has been created by Hello Games. Sadly there isn’t a release window for this one.
Horizon Call of the Mountain is everything you imagine and more
A few weeks ago we found out that PlayStation VR2 will feature a new Horizon title and we are not disappointed as Horizon Call of the Mountain presents a different perspective of the world of the franchise but without losing the essence of exploration, action, and especially combat with huge creatures. Once again, we didn’t get an exact release date.
Insomniac is bringing Spider-man to PC
Yeah, you read that one right. After saying that the title “Will never appear on Xbox or PC” back in 2017, Insomniac seems to change their minds with a remastered version of their original Spider-Man story. It is expected on August 12th, 2022 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Cute Kitties on a cyberpunk adventure.
The hype for this one was big and believe us when we say BIG. Who doesn't like cats? Well, some people don’t, but how about adventurous cats who go out at night to live all kinds of adventures motivated by their curiosity and sense of exploration? That’s what makes Stray so interesting…for being starred by a cat in a Cyberpunk style world.
During the PlayStation event, the new Stray trailer was revealed and fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to enjoy it, as it will be on PS4 and PS5 on July 19.
Space Horror to the MAX
Glen Schofield is not holding back with his next project, as The Callisto Protocol has turned into one of the most anticipated games of the year. KRAFTON, PUBG company has put all their resources available to deliver something incredible.
We believe it, as during the State of Play, we got to see the new trailer, showing that space terror will reach a new level and will be available on December 2nd this year.
Dust off your skates
State of Play brings something for everyone and this time it was Rollerdrome's turn, a game developed by Roll7 and published by Private Division. Its proposal is simple, it is an action game with shooter elements, and everything happens on skates, an unbeatable combination to guarantee excitement and fun. This one is around the corner with a release date of August 16th.

Dates during the apocalypse? Count me in
This action-dating game will take dates and combats to another level. Studio Sai and Kowloon Nights presented Eternights, a love story full of adrenaline, exploration, and high doses of combat in search of saving the world. We are eager to find the love of our lives while we fight for survival… but need to wait until early 2023 to play on PS5 and PS4.
To live is to fight
Nobody liked the Street Fighter 6’s logo but that doesn’t mean the game is awful as Capcom is determined to show us what they have in store for us.
Showing the art style and character design, as well as some gameplay in the latest trailer.
We could see the updated appearance of Chun-Li and a bearded Ryu, as well as the development of the fights… get ready as this one arrives next year.
Tunic is landing on PS5 and PS4
Xbox and PC players have already been able to enjoy this extra cute action-adventure game conceived by indie developer Andrew Shouldice. Inspired by Legend of Zelda has been one of the biggest surprises in recent months. Finally, PlayStation players will be able to enjoy it on September 27th.
TUNIC comes to PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 on September 27, 2022. ⚔

In this game, you take the role of a cyclist who decides to ride around the world just for the fun of it, easy to enjoy and very helpful to relax… This one will arrive during the fall of this year.
Closing on a high note
State of Play closed with Square Enix’s latest preview of Final Fantasy XVI. In it, we got a glimpse of the RPG's grand scale, character design, environments and some gameplay sequences, all of which were of the highest possible quality. Best part? It will debut in the summer of 2023, so we are a year or a bit more away.
