Gamescom is coming back after a long two-year break, however, seems like the trade fair will take place without Nintendo but… How does a headliner miss an event like this one?
According to German portal GamesWirtschaft, the Frankfurt headquarters of Nintendo of Europe reported:
“Gamescom is a key event in the event calendar for Nintendo. This year, however, after careful consideration, we decided against participating in Cologne. Instead, players can try out the games for Nintendo Switch at numerous Germany-wide events.”
As mentioned there are other events scheduled were we can catch up with anything Nintendo will have to show, so far that includes roadshows with their Airstreamer tour bus and VW Bulli, at locations such as the SWR Summer Festival and the Stuttgart Children and Youth Festival.

Gamescom 2022,will take place from August 24th to 28th, and it's planned to be a hybrid event held on-site and online so please don’t miss out.
