E3 rival? Summer Game Fest will return in 2023 with a face-to-face event

There are no dates yet for Geoff Keighley's event

Every year, June was the most exciting month for all video game fans because one of the best events for the gaming industry was held; The E3.

However, unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face events and how they were carried out drastically changed everything, either by making the event digital or, as was the case this year 2022, when we didn’t have a face-to-face nor digital.

Fortunately, it did not stop there, as Summer Game Fest came to the rescue for all gamers, and we were able to get news about what the franchises were preparing for us.

The Summer Game Fest 2022 edition is over. It was a digital event streamed live on YouTube, with Geoff Keighley hosting and producing the event. They released a lot of news about several popular titles.

SUMMER GAME FEST WILL RETURN IN 2023

Something interesting is that Geoff Keighley confirmed that the event will return in 2023, and not only that but that it will return as a face-to-face event.

At the moment, he did not share more details about his plans, and it is unknown if his intention is for the main conference to occur in person as The Game Awards 2023 or if what he is looking for is a convention of the size of E3.

We also do not have dates or venues, but we will be very attentive to keep you informed here at LEVEL UP.

Do you think Summer Game Fest could be an E3 rival? Tell us in the comments.
