The Apex Legends team has mistakenly leaked all the news that will come along with season 14 of the game, such as the new legend, called Vantage, and the title of the upcoming patch.
Every time we get closer to the beginning of a new season of Apex Legends, leakers and data miners are rubbing their hands. Many compete to be the first to reveal some essential details like what the new map will be or information about the legends.
But this time, the developers themselves played the role of their worst enemy. They showed us everything we can expect for the new Apex Legends season 14.
Apex Legends shows us Vantage, the new legend of the game
Everything indicates that the first glimpse they have revealed to us of the new season has been nothing more than a mistake. Some players were waiting to get into the game when they saw a rather peculiar announcement.
When starting the game on July 23, several users received an in-game message that included a trailer yet to release on the developer's social media accounts, with an image that shows Vantage, the new Apex Legends character.
“There’s a new installment of Stories from the Outlands!” reads the accompanying text. “Watch Survive and meet the new Legend joining the Games in Apex Legends: Hunted, coming August 9”.
However, some players did not even get a chance to open the message, and for others, as soon as they opened it, it disappeared. This error indicates that this was nothing more than a problem with the code and that developers can mess up now and then. Big oops.
With the information out there, we will have to wait for the next few weeks to find out if Respawn will advance the announcement of the new season or if it will release the content early. Apex Legends, currently on its 13th season, is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
