Splatoon 3 copies are already out, a week before its official release!

As expected, videos filled with spoilers are already all over social media platforms

One week before its official release, Splatoon 3 was already in the wild. Users reportedly have what seems to be original copies of the game. Across Twitter and Reddit, many Splatoon fans have stumbled upon videos of the single-player mode, ruining the wait and expectation of the game’s release that’s supposed to happen next week. Even the ending has been uploaded on YouTube (not posting this here because… spoilers.)

According to VGC, Reddit username Splatoon3Leaks uploaded around 30 videos of the game’s single-player mode, although by now, most of these videos have been removed for copyright violations. Social media users claim that these leaks come from a cracked version of the game that’s already being distributed online.

It’s still unsure whether Nintendo will take action against the leaked game and content. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that the publisher has gone through this situation. The PC cracked versions of previous titles have also gone through this phase. More recently, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Pokemon Legends Arceus.

A year ago, Twitch users stumbled upon a live stream of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl ten days before it was officially out. And two years ago, Pokémon Sword and Shield leaks were found on a Portuguese website before it was released.

Splatoon 3 will come out this Friday.

What are your thoughts on this? What should Nintendo do to prevent these leaks? Let us know in the comment section!
