Hardly any project will completely satisfy each of the hundreds of fans. Why do we say this? Because recently, with the release of the first trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, in general, the reception by the fans was a complete success.

However, the first complaints have arisen regarding Mario's voice, which Chris Pratt will dub. We thought the complaints would end there, but other fans have shown that they did not like the design of Mario for the film.

THE DESIGN OF MARIO CONTINUES TO GENERATE CONTROVERSY AFTER THE TRAILER PREMIERE

The design of Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie was quite a test for the production as it is an iconic character in the video game industry, and since Super Mario Sunshine and Super Smash Bros. Melee, fans have gotten used to an art style and even his voice thanks to the work of Charles Martinet.

After the trailer premiere, a group of followers shared their opinion on Reddit (via The Gamer) and considered that the film's design shows a somewhat strange Mario, very chubby, which they believe is far from what the character in video games. From there, the community proposed changes to the character.

On the other hand, the community and even an actress assured that Charles Martinet should voice the character of Mario. He has given voice to the Nintendo plumber since the Nintendo 64 era.

What do you think of the Mario design seen in the trailer?
