Monster Hunter will arrive to Sonic Frontiers after launch!

Free special content coming very soon

Sonic Frontiers has yet to be released, but SEGA is already revealing early plans for additional content coming in the blue hedgehog's next main adventure, ready to hurtle full speed through the Open Zones from Nov. 8, 2022, on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

In addition to revealing the free Sonic Adventure 2-themed DLC for Sonic Frontiers, the Japanese company is also announcing new Monster Hunter-themed downloadable content, which will be available starting November 15 (a week after the base game's day one).

The crossover DLC will contain a set of armors for Sonic to wear based on the Rathalos, both classic and Felyne versions. In addition, a cooking minigame will also be included, with our hero having a piece of meat cooked over embers just as it is done in the various games in the Capcom series, gaining useful power-ups.

“Introducing the contents of the collaboration DLC. Rathalos Equipment (Hunter/Airou) that Sonic can wear will be available. In addition, you will be able to play the ‘grilled meat’ mini-game in the game,” the official Tweet reads.

Again, these are DLCs that are free to download and play on any platform. SEGA may collaborate with other popular franchises in the future; in any case, this is a welcome addition for all Monster Hunter fans eager to immerse themselves in Sonic's next adventure.
