From Software has released Elden Ring's 1.07 patch!

New features and references to new maps and ray tracing

FromSoftware has released a new update dedicated to Elden Ring. The open world, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, received multiple balancing adjustments, especially the PvP component, which received the most interesting new features.

Patch 1.07 introduced separate damage scaling in PvP for weapons, skills, spells, and spells. In the future, this feature could be used to balance weapons, weapon art, spells, and spells in Invasion/PvP mode. Balance changes made within this feature will not affect single-player or co-op mode.

PvP also sees increased balance and stamina damage, along with reduced effectiveness of War Ash and various spells. Also of note is the increased attack speed of many colossal weapons. The changelog continues with a rich list of changes made to the PvE component, with various rebalancings, bug fixes, and game stability improvements.

Shortly after the patch was released, modder Lance McDonald spotted some new lines of code introduced with the update that explicitly refer to ray tracing. FromSoftware had previously stated that it would implement ray tracing in Elden Ring, but to date, the feature has not yet been added.

In addition, we also find references to new maps, a possible sign that the Elden Ring DLC may no longer be so far away. It will still be good to wait for upcoming updates from Bandai Namco and FromSoftware developers.
