Gotham Knights only runs at 30 fps on consoles

Sadly you can’t adjust the performance options

We are just days away from the release of Gotham Knights as the WB Games Montreal title is set to debut on October 21. After years of waiting the expectations were running high however no matter how much ambition there is, seems like it is difficult to adapt to the hardware conditions or at least the latest information involving the console version suggests so.

Gotham Knights is already making waves across the internet after some players who already had access to the console version, noted that there is a limitation in the rate of frames per second.

Apparently, the game can run in 4K but is limited to 30 frames per second, and that there are no graphic options such as a quality mode, focused on resolution, or performance, focused on fps performance. Also, some players claim that they have already downloaded the day 1 patch of Gotham Knights and still there are no visual adjustment options.

It was planned that way

Then, WB Games Montreal Executive Producer Fleur Marty confirmed that Gotham Knights runs at 30 FPS on console with no performance mode and this is thanks to the types of features within the game, as they wanted to provide a fully untethered co-op experience in the highly detailed open-world.

So, the game is a very demanding title graphically, so the development team decided to cap the console version to 30fps… make that make sense in the latest generation of consoles. We can only expect the PC version to surprise us graphically, although we will have to wait for the official launch to clear the doubts.
