After the official announcement came in August, with THQ Nordic fulfilling the dream of the many fans waiting to return to the horror franchise, Alone in the Dark is back to show itself with a new trailer, just in time for the Halloween 2022 celebrations.
What do we know about this title so far?
Alone in the Dark is a new variation of the Infogrames-famous survival horror series developed by Pieces Interactive studios. THQ Nordic has revealed fresh footage of Villa Derceto, the mystery location where Emily Hartwood will go in quest of her missing uncle with the help of investigator Edward Carnby. The gloomy building will bring us into contact with unusual inhabitants, terrifying monsters, and arcane corridors leading to nightmare worlds.
The authors describe the game as a faithful reinterpretation of the progenitor of the series that has become a cult for fans over the decades, as well as a love letter to all lovers of the survival horror genre. We are also promised a great psychological horror experience written by Mikael Hedberg, already the author of the acclaimed Amnesia and SOMA.

Alone in the Dark will be published by THQ Nordic on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. We are currently still without a launch window, but we can probably expect it next year.
