Capcom has announced a partnership with TiMi Studio Group to develop and publish a new Monster Hunter mobile game that will aim to "replicate the typical battles of the Monster Hunter series, offering a new gaming experience designed specifically for smartphones and tablets."

What is TiMi Studio?

Capcom and TiMi are collaborating on the development of this new experience to take the Monster Hunter series to new horizons, opening up to the mobile market with an original production. In the past, portings of Monster Hunter for iOS and Android have been released, but in this case, we are talking about a new game made to take advantage of the potential of modern smartphones and tablets.

TiMi is the studio responsible for Pokémon Unite and Call of Duty Mobile. In 2021 the Chinese company opened a studio in Seattle to develop a competitive online FPS based on a new IP. Monster Hunter is one of Capcom's most famous and popular intellectual properties; landing on mobile with a new experience will allow players to hunt monsters from any mobile device without limits.

In case you missed it: Overwatch 2 reached 35 million players in one month.

It is unclear whether the game will take advantage of Augmented Reality in some way by presenting itself as a kind of Monster Hunter-themed Pokémon GO or whether we are talking about a different type of production, so we await further details.
