World Cup starts next weekend, however, people are already going crazy over it. To be fair, we are too and even more, as Electronic Arts have launched their special Qatar 2022 content for FIFA 23.
If you are an avid fan of the game, probably you have already witnessed the current problem. According to fellow news portal The Gamer, the servers can’t keep up with the demand and have been experiencing crashes and intermittence since the arrival of the update that brought the content of Qatar 2022. Most of these problems have been reported by players on the game's official Reddit, who noted an increase in the number of incidents.

Everybody wants to be part of it
Of course, this is caused by the number of players wanting to be part of the virtual World Cup is such that the servers are giving up. Actually, the most reported issues are players being kicked out of matches, some being unable to claim their Champs rewards after playing and in less known cases they can’t access the store at all, nonetheless, even with this problems players just keep coming and coming.
While this is not precisely a “serious” problem, it must be taken into account by EA and solved soon as the number of players is expected to be higher in the coming days.
Another reason for this incredibly high influx of players is the fact that this is the last instalment of the FIFA franchise, and it will say goodbye with the Qatar 2022 World Cup. As you should know by now starting next year we will have EA Sports FC, so yeah, no one wants to miss this “last” huge event.

So far, Electronic Arts have reported nothing on servers or pronounced itself on this matter, however, is rumoured that they are already aware of the situation. In the meantime maybe you want to avoid FIFA 23’s online services for some hours.
