With God of War: Ragnarok updated with patch 2.001, it's time for the Santa Monica studio team to celebrate the critical acclaim garnered by the return of Kratos and Atreus.

With the traditional trailer that includes quotes and reviews from the trade press, the Sony team offers one last look at the Norse apocalypse that awaits within the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 exclusive.

The critics love the title

The clip retrieves some of the most positive opinions among the more than 120 reviews of God of War: Ragnarok currently available. Collected on Metacritic, the latter gives the title a Metascore of 94/100, thus not far from what was found in the first hours after the embargo expired.

With God of War: Ragnarok, we recall that Santa Monica Studio ended the Norse adventure of Kratos and Atreus. The story arc set in the cold north thus ends, with the series' future turning its steps elsewhere.

In case you missed it: Man arrested after selling a fake copy of the first Dragon Ball manga.

As of now, it is too early for the development team to offer details about the protagonists' future, with many players having just begun their journey through the snows of Fimbulwinter.
