The new roller coaster that PortAventura will open in 2023 will be dedicated to the movie of the famous video game saga, Uncharted. The well-known Spanish streamer AuronPlay has announced it through one of his live streams on the Twitch platform. The new theme park attraction has been under construction in the Far West area for weeks.
Following its announcement, PortAventura has released a video welcoming the roller coaster. The new attraction will be based on the movie released earlier this year that stars Tom Holland.

When will visitors be able to use the ride?
PortAventura World and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that Uncharted, the world's first dark ride roller coaster based on the blockbuster movie, will open in mid-2023. The new attraction in the Far West area will take visitors on a perilous search for one of the greatest treasures ever found.
David García, General Business Director of PortAventura World, said, "We are thrilled with the announcement of this strategic agreement with a leading company in the entertainment industry such as Sony Pictures. This alliance will allow us to be present on a global scale, presenting our first dark ride roller coaster and, at the same time, perfectly complement the resort's offer. We are convinced that this new attraction with cutting-edge technology will be fundamental in creating great moments and memories for families and friends who decide to spend their vacations and free time at our resort.

The most daring visitors will enjoy nearly 700 meters of a vibrant ride on this exclusive dark ride roller coaster over 12 meters high in a unique immersive space - 4,800 square meters and 16 meters high. With an investment of 25 million euros, the project has been made possible thanks to a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures, and its creation counts with the collaboration of the renowned design company Intamin Amusement Rides and Sally Corporation, a leading international company specializing in the development of dark rides and animatronics design.
