A few years have passed since the release of Hideo Kojima's last video game, Death Stranding, so fans of the creator have been eagerly waiting to learn about his new project.

Fortunately, today seems like the lucky day for the community since the Japanese have decided to use his personal Twitter account to share a cryptic message that fans are already trying to guess.

In case you missed it: The big hug from Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro!

What are you up to now, Kojima?

Without further ado, this is the tweet shared by the creator of the beloved videogame series Metal Gear Solid this Thursday night:

"Start a new journey." That's all the written message. Of course, the most interesting part it's the image, which shows three white logos on a black background.

If you had the opportunity to play Death Stranding, perhaps the middle logo seems familiar to you since it is somewhat similar to that of Central Knot City, one of the emblematic locations of the game. Likewise, the logo on the right is reminiscent of one of the creatures from the last Kojima's original adventure. As for the one on the left, fans are pointing out that Automated Public Assistance could be the name of a new in-game company.

That's right: the clues offered by Hideo seem to indicate that he would be talking about Death Stranding 2. Or perhaps a spinoff. Of course, there is also the chance that it's something different, and he's just messing with our minds. After all, It won't be the first time he does that.

Whatever Kojima's new project is, one might think its first official teaser will take place during The Game Awards 2022. Beyond being the last big event of the gaming industry of the year, let's not forget the remarkable friendship of the Japanese creative with the journalist and main organizer of the event, Geoff Keighley, to believe that we will have the "world premiere" at this year's ceremony to be held next week.
