The fourth day of the festive event "Inside the House of Indies" is coming to an end. For this fourth day, they bring us great games that you surely shouldn't miss.
Melatonin and Hyper Gunsport have been announced to be available for the Nintendo Switch eShop and Afterimage and Smile For Me have also been revealed as the next games to be released in the first half of 2023.
Melatonin developed by Half Asleep, is a "rhythm game about dreams and reality merging together. It uses animations and sound cues to keep you on beat without any intimidating overlays or interfaces. Harmonize through a variety of dreamy levels containing surprising challenges, hand-drawn art, and colorful music."
This title has a hand-drawn art style that syncs with the flow of its music while you dive deeper into the main character's dreams you'll discover more about his life. The game is available right now in the eShop.
Afterimage is developed by Aurogon Shanghai and is announced to be launched on April 25, 2023. "Explore a gripping storyline set in the ruins of a fantasy world in a hand-drawn 2D action adventure that emphasizes fast-paced combat with diversified character builds, and non-linear levels."
Some characteristics the title has been that it has over 150 varieties of enemies, over 40 epic original soundtracks created by AurogonSoundTeam, and an estimated 25-30 hours of gameplay on the first run, among "more surprises for you to discover."
As delivered on Steam's page, "Smile For Me is an unconventional Point-and-Click Adventure Game that puts you at the center of an abstract world! Nod and shake your head to chat with new friends, and solve their mysteries to cheer them up."
The title was initially released on PC on May 31, 2019. And now it has been announced to be available on Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023 with the possibility to acquire it in a physical edition that comes with exclusive merch from the game.
Hyper Gunsport's developers Necrosoft Games describe their title very well. It is "an arcade action game about shooting a ball into a goal. It's cyberpunk volleyball with guns."
This brand-new title features a single-player mode, 2v2 online multiplayer mode, dynamic stages, alternate rule sets, an amazing soundtrack, and even more! Regarding the story, "there is no more war. There are no more gods. There is only the game."
