This will not be a happy new year without video game announcements, right? Recently Famitsu published New Year greetings from several Japanese video game companies among them Konami. While their message was not lengthy they mentioned something that really caught our attention.
In case you missed it: Konami recruiting WEB3 and Metaverse development personnel
The message reads:
“Happy New Year to all game fans. Thank you very much for enjoying many KONAMI games last year. As this year is the year of the rabbit, we are planning power-ups and new development for familiar series, aiming to make even greater strides. In addition, a new project that has not yet been announced to everyone is quietly and deeply underway. Please look forward to KONAMI's further progress.”
They mention that they are working on the development of a familiar series, here they could be referring to the Silent Hill games that are coming and were announced back in October 2022 during the Silent Hill Transmission.
However, they also mentioned, “a new project that has not yet been announced to everyone is quietly and deeply underway”. What could it be? Another Castlevania project or maybe Metal Gear?
