According to the latest sightings, it appears that Sony will roll out a new PS5 sign-on update in March, with a Beta phase planned for February instead. Well-known insider Tom Henderson has stepped in to preview some of the new features potentially coming with the update.

A feature everyone is waiting for

The update, currently scheduled for March 8, 2023, according to the insider, will include the full Discord integration originally announced in 2021. In addition, sources in contact with Insider Gaming revealed that PlayStation 5 games would also be streamable on Sony's current-gen console via cloud streaming (useful in case you want to save space on your SSD).

Known internally as Cronus, Henderson says this feature will be included in the PlayStation's Premium Tier and has been under development and testing for several months.

Although other clues lead to February, Insider Gaming states that the public beta for Playstation 5 update 7.00 will begin as early as the next few days, with the completion date coinciding with January 30.

In case you missed it: One Piece Odyssey can be played right now as a demo on Xbox Series X/S.

However, Henderson's sources said that beta testers could not use the Discord integration feature during this beta. We will just have to wait for any official announcements from Sony.
