Tango Gameworks has developed many well-known titles that circle around the horror genre, with games like The Evil Within 1-2 and Ghostwire: Tokyo one can imagine what the following game is going to be about, but we are very far from correct.

The game developers announced during the Developer_Direct live stream their brand-new title Hi-Fi RUSH, "an all-new action game where the world syncs to the music."

What is this title about?

Hi-Fi RUSH is a kind of colorful hack-and-slash where we meet Chai, a young aspiring rock star who will fight against a sinister futuristic conglomerate. The interesting thing is that the fights will revolve around music, as it will be very important to keep the rhythm when attacking. Thus, the developers point out that it is not a simple button masher, although they point out that both experienced and novice players will be able to enjoy the vertiginous fights.

It can be considered that Hi-Fi RUSH has an art style and universe that looks somehow reminiscent of the Sunset Overdrive title and a play-style that the indie rhythm game No Straight Roads created, making an ambitious mix of action and rhythm genres and providing a type of game that nobody would expect from Tango Gameworks.

Did this title catch your eye? Luckily, it's now available for Xbox X|S Series and PC via the Microsoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The best part is that all Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members will be able to play it at no additional cost.

The Developer_Direct broadcast by Xbox and Bethesda undoubtedly surprised us all with this title. During the entire development process, not even the slightest leak of this title was shown, at least as far as we know, and this has made the hype and anticipation of getting Hi-Fi RUSH as soon as possible for the ones who really liked it.
