We have interesting news related to Pokémon Sleep, the application that The Pokémon Company announced almost 4 years ago and which has not been talked about since then. Now, according to new information, the project could be about to be presented and would include a Tamagotchi-like system.

As you will surely remember, those responsible for the saga announced Pokemon Sleep in May 2019 as an app that would allow you to train Pokémon while you sleep, all with a launch in 2020, something that never happened.

Several years have passed since then and Reddit user milotic03 discovered a new patent on the project, filed in November 2022, which revealed what exactly the app would be about:

"A user generates a virtual life form by practicing good sleep habits and stays motivated to keep doing so while enjoying the reproduction of the virtual life form," reads the patent summary.

It is worth mentioning that, although the log does not mention Pokémon or the names of some creatures at any time, some images feature Pikachu in different positions.

Here you can see them:

In case you missed it: Horizon's new multiplayer title in development had 10 minutes of gameplay and key art leaked

Of course, there is still no official confirmation that this patent is real and there are some users who consider that it is just the work of someone very creative. However, we will have to wait and see if The Pokémon Company will surprise us on February 27, Pokémon Day.

What do you think of this kind of Tamagotchi? Let us know in the comments!
