Resident Evil 4 Remake aims to be one of the most important releases of this year. Luckily, it looks like it will have a very loyal and active modding community that will be in charge of creating all kinds of modifications that expand and improve the original experience. We say this because, even though its official release is a couple of weeks away, it already has a virtual reality mod.
Through a publication on Twitter, Flat2VR, a group of modders dedicated to providing VR support to various video games, announced that the new survival horror demo is now compatible with a virtual reality mod for the PC version that is totally free.
You should know that the mod is already available for download on the GitHub page of the modder known as Praydog. You can find detailed instructions on the website, but in short, what you have to do to install it is to unzip a file at the address where the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo is installed.
Considering that the test version of Capcom's survival horror has been out for a little over a day, the work done by the modder is outstanding. The reception from the community is positive, and some players have already posted videos on social networks and YouTube showing the mod in action.
It is important to note that this virtual reality modification retains the video game's third-person view. This will be disappointing for those people who wanted to experience Leon S. Kennedy's adventure from a more personal perspective. Even so, the final result is outstanding.
Game's looking fantastic in VR already especially on OLED since so many areas are pitch black, can't wait for motion controls and/or the full release!
