2023 will be an excellent year for horror game fans. Some renowned franchises will return and there will also be very interesting new proposals. One of them is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, based on the popular saga created by Tobe Hooper.
In case you don't remember, this title was revealed at The Game Awards 2021 and immediately caught the attention of genre lovers. There is good news for all of them since Sumo and Gun Interactive finally confirmed its release date. They also revealed that it will come to Xbox Game Pass.
Fans of the franchise can now mark their calendars, as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X|S Series, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam) on August 18.
Xbox Game Pass users will be able to enjoy it at no additional cost, as it will join the service's catalog from its release day. It will be available on both the console service and PC Game Pass.
The most excited players will be able to take a look at the title before its release, as it will have a technical test in a few months. The Beta will start on May 25 and will be open to all those interested. However, it will only take place on PC, through Steam.

The title will be based on the popular 1974 movie and will put players in the role of a victim or a lethal killer. Depending on their role, they will have to flee and use their wits to stay unharmed or track down and annihilate the rest of the party. And remember that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and PC on August 18.
