Kickstarter has made several projects come true, including several successful video games. One more is on its way, it has its dose of roguelite, action, axolotls, weapons, and Spanish talent. We are referring to AK-xolotl, a title developed by 2AwesomeStudio, a studio from Valencia, Spain, and launched as a project on Kickstarter in June 2022.

The project reached its funding goal in a matter of hours thanks in part to its unusual proposal, a roguelite with tough axolotls as protagonists that will use a variety of weapons to make its way through levels with non-linear progress.
In the adventure, the player will start with an axolotl, but will surely lose it quickly, as they only have one life, but can be reborn with the help of other axolotls. To do this, the player will first have to collect Axolittles and take them to his pond to raise them and eventually they will become his new fighter. In their adventure, the axolotls will be able to find upgrades and powers, which will be very useful when fighting against strong bosses.
Kickstarter projects usually take a long time to develop, but fortunately, this won't be the case with AK-xolotl, since it was revealed that it will debut before 2024, although the date was not specified.
2AwesomeStudio has just announced that it has teamed up with the company Playstack, which will be responsible for publishing the title, which will come to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Additionally, 2AwesomeStudio revealed that a new and improved demo is now available on Steam and that Twitter followers can vote for which Axolittle will be added to the game.

This beautiful roguelite title will be a good option for those players who love some bullet hell gameplay with cute aesthetics that might be reminiscent of Enter the Gungeon, another well-known title with similar characteristics. AK-xolotl is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC and will debut at some time in 2023.
