Resident Evil 4 is one of the best video games of all time but reaching this result was not an easy mission, in fact, the team led by Shinji Mikami advanced with trial and error and even at some point it was decided to restart the project. Years before its release, we knew the Beta version that became famous after the subsequent changes. Well, the recent remake has recalled this story with a terrifying reference.
Resident Evil 4 Remake players are not only enjoying one of the best releases of the year, but they are also perusing for details. Recently, one gamer noticed that there is a brief homage to the Beta version of the original installment. The finding, shared on Reddit, shows a corridor in Salazar's castle where there are some animal heads and just when you get to a deer's head, it falls surprisingly to scare the player.
In case you don't know, this is a reference to what we know as Resident Evil 3.5, Beta that was shown at E3 2003 and in which Capcom revealed that the next title in the franchise, Resident Evil 4, would star Leon but the theme would be inclined towards the supernatural, so instead of Cattle and Plagues, the former RPD cop would encounter ghosts and forces of that kind.
Precisely, in one of the parts Leon is seen inspecting rooms, and in one of them he finds the head of a deer, as he approaches it the light and shadow of the place change, and the head of the animal gesticulates with pain, and falls to the floor leaving a pool of blood.
In the end, the development team and Shinji Mikami were not happy with the direction the project was taking and decided to restart it until January 2005, when Resident Evil 4 was released on GameCube to become an all-time classic.
