Undoubtedly, Pokémon GO is one of the most successful mobile games in recent years. Upon its release in 2016, it became a mass phenomenon and caused thousands of people to hit the streets to capture pocket monsters. Now, Capcom has joined forces with the creators of this title to create a project that follows the same philosophy.

Specifically, Capcom and Niantic have officially announced Monster Hunter Now, a free-to-play video game that will be available for iOS and Android devices at some point in September 2023. Interested players can already sign up on the official website to have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming closed beta tests.

The first test will open its doors on April 25th, and the developers have stated that there will be an approximate limit of 10,000 participants. Therefore, interested individuals should register as soon as possible if they wish to try out this new free mobile game.

This new free-to-play title is similar in structure to Pokémon GO. Players must search and hunt monsters scattered throughout the area, and they can do so alone or with friends. This experience uses AR technology to bring these formidable beasts to life in the real world.

One of the most striking features of this new title is Paintball, which allows players to mark the monsters they encounter on the way to fight them later with more calm. "Monster Hunter Now is designed for everyone to enjoy at their own pace – whether you're a long-time Monster Hunter player, someone who hasn't played in a while, or even a newcomer to the series. You can also play whenever and wherever you want," reads the official description of the title.

"Monster Hunter Now will be the ultimate experience for anyone who has dreamed of facing epic monsters and battling them with friends. Full of fantastic creatures, thrilling hunts, opportunities for teamwork, and the best graphics possible on mobile devices, Monster Hunter is the perfect franchise to bring into the real world," said John Hanke, founder and CEO of Niantic.
