This Marvel Snap card is so broken that they're going to give it away to all the players

Second Dinner, developer of Marvel Snap, is constantly looking for creative ways to integrate new Marvel heroes and villains into the card game in an attractive way. This doesn't always work out well for them, and such is the case with a card that is so broken that they'll have to give it away to all players.

On March 28th, Marvel Snap welcomed Kitty Pryde as a new card that drew a lot of attention because it cost 1 energy point and had 0 power, but could be returned to your hand to gain +2 power, making it very powerful, especially in combination with several other cards. The release of Kitty Pryde was a headache in Marvel Snap, as she not only was powerful but also caused crashes. That's why on March 30th, just 2 days after her launch, Second Dinner decided to completely remove her from the game to adjust her.

"We apologize for this inconvenience and will compensate all players at a future date. We're working hard to resolve this issue and will provide updates when we have more information," they explained.

Now, almost 3 weeks after the card was deactivated, Second Dinner has finally given an update. The studio confirmed that while working on the card, they realized they would have to modify the game rules or release a buggy card to be able to launch it. Instead, they changed the way it works.

So, Kitty Pryde will return to Marvel Snap in the May update. When she does, she will still retain her effect of gaining +2 power when returning to your hand. The difference is that now you won't be able to return her to your card whenever you want and will have to do it with a card like Falcon or Beast. As you can imagine, there are fans who are upset about the situation with Kitty Pryde. Especially when we consider that as a Series 5 card, it was necessary to pay 6,000 credits to have it. That's why Second Dinner is preparing a way to compensate the community.

Therefore, all players who have purchased Kitty Pryde will receive 8,000 credits and an avatar of the character. On the other hand, all players will receive this card for free once it returns to the game in May.
