LeBron James motivates his team with Super Mario and Call of Duty to "go to the next level"

The Lakers star made several references to video games in a recent speech

Video games are everywhere and proof of this is a recent speech by LeBron James, the star of the Lakers. The player is satisfied with his team's performance, but he wants to go further with all his teammates.

So he called on them to go to the next level and, surprisingly, he made several references to video games, specifically Call of Duty and Super Mario Bros. This with the aim of motivating the whole team, which usually enjoys such franchises.

LeBron James and Lakers are video game fans

After winning against the Memphis Grizzlies, James was satisfied with the results and told his teammates that "level 1 is complete". He asked them not to be confident, as he knows that from now on things will be more complicated as "it gets harder and harder at each level".

In reference to their next opponents, James assured that level 2 is close, so he invited his teammates to give their best to also come out victorious in the matches. To this end, he mentioned Call of Duty and Super Mario Bros.

"Y’all play Call of Duty. Y’all know what that means going to the next level, y’all play Mario Bros you know what that means." the basketball player said.

Video game fans raved about James' words and think it's great that he made this analogy to boost the confidence of the entire team. Below you can watch the video with James' comments.
