After many main releases and some spin-offs, Monster Hunter has managed to win over players worldwide. However, some of its titles remain exclusive to Japan. Nevertheless, it seems that one of its most popular spin-offs will finally arrive in the West.
The reason being that Capcom registered Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles in various countries. It is a title that has not yet been announced, but everything indicates that it is the return of a classic that the company launched for PSP.
The registration for Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles was made on April 27th in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and various European countries. As noted by Gematsu, it seems that this unannounced project has something to do with Airu de Puzzle, a game in the series that debuted in 2012.
The thing is, said game for Sony's handheld was a Japan exclusive and wasn't localized in our region. Thus, it is believed that Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles could be a port for modern systems that would debut worldwide.
It is important to mention that this theory is only speculation, so nothing is confirmed. There is a possibility that Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles is a completely new title and has no direct relation to the PSP game.
Despite the above, one thing is clear: it is a puzzle-focused spin-off. So its proposal would be similar to Tetris or Puyo Puyo. On the other hand, its registration hints at an imminent reveal, so we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out what it's about.
