RUMOR: Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will also come to Xbox

Insider suggests that Konami won't treat Xbox like Square Enix has with Final Fantasy

The rumors surrounding a possible Metal Gear Solid 3 remake are strong, but there's something that fans of the series who are also Xbox users aren't too pleased about, as it appears to be a PlayStation exclusive project. However, new information has just emerged indicating that Xbox won't be left out of the party.

Although the return of Metal Gear Solid hasn't left the realm of rumors, it slowly takes more shape and, as happened with Silent Hill, it seems to be a matter of time before Konami confirms its development with a big announcement.

A new rumor indicates that Xbox players will also be able to enjoy the next game in the Metal Gear franchise

In the latest episode of The Xbox Two podcast, insider Jez Corden, one of the people who supported the alleged development of the game, took the opportunity to talk a bit more about the project and mentioned that, while there will be some sort of exclusivity with PlayStation, Konami would be thinking about a multi-platform release.

Corden explained that instead of being total, exclusivity could be temporary and he believes that "in the long run" the game will eventually reach the Xbox ecosystem, perhaps when the rumored remake's exclusivity agreement ends.

However, later on, he imagined a similar scenario to that of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which still hasn't come to Xbox despite the exclusivity agreement with PlayStation having already expired. Regarding this, Corden referred to the difference being that the relationship Xbox has with Konami isn't as bad as the one it has with Square Enix.

What do you think? Do you believe the rumored remake will also be available on Xbox consoles? Let us know in the comments.
