We've had rumors about an alleged Red Dead Redemption remaster for months, but the project has not been confirmed by Rockstar. Fans of the studio are more than excited, as a hint suggests that such a title could soon be a reality.
We tell you this as Red Dead Redemption received a surprise new rating in Korea. This indicates that the game will soon return in some form. Gamers speculate that it could be a re-release with improvements for current consoles.
The Red Dead Redemption remaster could be real
The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea surprisingly revealed a new classification for Red Dead Redemption. The record was published last June 15 and refers to a console release.
For such reason, it is believed that the game will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S Series in a matter of months. There are even gamers who are hoping to see Rockstar's game on PC; however, the new rating only refers to consoles.
This hint suggests that the rumors about the remaster of the 2010 game could be true. Various sources claimed that Rockstar was working on such a project, but had abandoned it to focus on Grand Theft Auto VI.
Other sources leaked alleged footage of the remaster in mid-2022; however, it was discovered that it was a fan-made project and not a Rockstar initiative. So most of the community wrote off the opportunity to see the game's return.
As of this writing, Rockstar has not given any official hints about a possible remaster of Red Dead Redemption. So it's best to wait for now for the company to make a statement on this classification.
