Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was one of the freshest and most eye-catching proposals of 2021. Although its time in the spotlight was short-lived, its direct sequel will double down and seems to aim to please players disappointed with the original release. Will it hit the mark? We must remember that GameMill Entertainment revealed the existence of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 at the end of July. They took advantage of the announcement trailer to confirm the identity of 2 new characters: Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants and Jimmy Neutron from the homonymous series.
In the following weeks, the developers showcased new fighters and some of the innovations that this new installment will bring. They also confirmed the release date.
When will Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 debut?
Through a social media post, the development studio confirmed that the sequel to the platform and fighting video game will arrive on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 3. So, there are just a few weeks left until the official release.
GameMill Entertainment revealed that the game can already be wishlisted on Steam, and digital pre-orders will be available in October on all platforms. It seems that, this time, special editions will be absent.
What are the novelties in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2?
Fortunately, the developers listened to community complaints and will address many of the suggestions in the sequel.
To start, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will feature a much larger roster. In addition to all the characters that appeared in the original release, new personalities like Squidward, Jimmy Neutron, El Tigre, Vlad Plasmius, and Gertie Shortman will join in this title.
However, all fighters have been reworked, and new cinematic Super Moves have been added. Additionally, the core mechanics of the fighting video game have been adjusted, so even veterans will have to adapt to the new systems.
Unlike the first title, the sequel will feature a single-player campaign where players will have to face bosses and overcome levels to defeat Vlad Plasmius, the legendary villain from Danny Phantom.
Finally, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will introduce welcome novelties such as a renewed visual style and improved animations, voice performances, stages, and more.
