Chapter 98 presented a very memorable scene from the battle against Cell Max

While all fans have their eyes on the new anime Dragon Ball Daima, the manga of Dragon Ball Super continues with the adaptation of the latest movie in the franchise. Chapter 98 is already available and it showcased one of the saddest and most memorable moments from the anime.

How to read the Dragon Ball Super manga for free?

Before we continue with the spoilers, let's explain how you can read the latest manga chapter completely free and legally. It's straightforward, and you can do it from a computer, a mobile phone, or a tablet.

In case you are unaware, the Dragon Ball Super manga publishes all its episodes monthly on Manga Plus, the free platform from Shueisha, a Japanese publishing company responsible for magazines like V Jump, Weekly Shonen Jump, Non-no, and more.

However, Manga Plus has a significant limitation: you can only read the first 3 episodes and the 3 most recent ones for free, so fans need to stay updated to avoid missing any episodes. That said, since its launch in 2019, it has become one of the most popular platforms for reading Japanese comics in Spanish.

Chapter 98 of Dragon Ball Super is already available on the service's website, and anyone can read it for free. Episode 99 is expected to debut on November 20, 2023. Now, we'll share spoilers from this work.

The latest Dragon Ball Super chapter adapted Gamma 2's sacrifice

The most recent episode picks up right where the previous one left off, with Gotenks and the rest of the Z Fighters in the heat of battle against Cell Max. Unfortunately, none of their attacks prove effective or capable of causing significant damage.

As a desperate measure, Gamma 2 asks his companions to distract Cell Max while he prepares a special attack. He flies into outer space and, after charging all his energy, speeds back to the battlefield.

While the giant monster is vulnerable due to Krillin's Taiyoken, Gamma 2 strikes him with a powerful blow. Unfortunately, he hits the arm instead of the head. In one panel, we see the robotic superhero falling to the ground, showing no signs of life.

People who have already seen Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will know that Gamma 2 loses his life in the battle against Cell Max after performing his charged attack. Could the manga change things, and the android will manage to survive? It's a possibility, but so far, the modifications have been minor. Therefore, it seems unlikely that a significant event will be different.
