Players celebrated the writer's legacy on his 132nd birthday

This week marked the 132nd birthday of J. R. R. Tolkien, the celebrated writer known for The Lord of the Rings. Fans of his literature and of the franchise in general decided to get together and celebrate this special date in a big way. So they organized a virtual tribute to Tolkien. The interesting thing is that the date was in a popular MMO of The Lord of the Rings.

The Lord of the Rings Online players pay tribute to Tolkien

All the fans of The Lord of the Rings celebrated last January 3, the anniversary of Tolkien's birth. Gamers did not want to be left behind, so they organized themselves to also pay tribute to the writer in The Lord of the Rings Online.

Participants gathered at the Bird and Baby inn, where a fan gave a speech in honor of the writer. Despite some technical problems and various impertinent players, the event was a success and everyone toasted in memory of Tolkien.

One of the organizers assured that there are more and more people who, for some reason, try to ruin the event; however, in the end everything went well this year and the community celebrated the 132nd anniversary of the creative.

The gaming community said they are happy that there is this space to meet and socialize with many people who are also passionate about the franchise. In this sense, they want the toast in honor of Tolkien to continue as an annual tradition.

After the celebration, players carry out various activities, such as finding a character named Ronald Dwale, which is a clear reference and tribute that The Lord of the Rings Online pays to Tolkien.
