Microsoft is preparing an important change for Xbox Game Pass that will affect players in several regions. The adjustment is of utmost importance, as the company will limit the number of months of the service that subscribers can accumulate in certain countries.
Microsoft will limit the accumulation of Xbox Game Pass months
The Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass policies allow up to 36 months of subscription to accumulate. Some gamers have taken advantage of this to get a lot of time to use the service at a lower cost through digital codes or gift cards.
For this reason, Microsoft decided to limit the accumulation of months of Xbox Game Pass in certain regions, where the exchange rate allows to get an extended subscription in exchange for a cheaper rate than in the rest of the world.
Users of the service in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Singapore, Taiwan and Turkey will no longer be able to accumulate up to 36 months of the service. Microsoft limited that amount to only 13 months, which includes Xbox Game Pass Core, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
According to the details, this measure will not affect for now the accumulation of months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gives access to all the benefits of the service and is considered the best offer. At the time of writing, Microsoft has not confirmed that this measure will be applied to more countries in the near future. It is worth mentioning that the price of the service will remain unchanged.
