MultiVersus conquered the world in 2022, but it was unable to retain the interest of its community in the following months. After losing 99% of its user base, the developers ended the Beta phase, removed the title from stores, and confirmed it would return at some point this year. After months without substantial information, Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games revealed in early March that the competitive video game will return on May 28, 2024. Without giving many details, they confirmed that both the network code and the graphics engine had been changed, and there will be a new PvE mode.

This week, the company in charge of the project shared an image that left fans scratching their heads. Specifically, the post is a parody of Barbie, as it shows Harley Quinn, Superman, Shaggy, and Velma dressed in pink. Additionally, the text is written with the official font of the Mattel franchise.
Obviously, the image directly references the movie directed by Greta Gerwig and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. With this in mind, fans believe that Barbie or Ken could join MultiVersus. It's not an outlandish idea, especially when we remember that the film dominated the box office in 2023. Similarly, LeBron James, who starred in the most recent Space Jam movie, is part of the roster.
In the comments section, fans expressed their desire for the Super Smash Bros.-inspired fighting game to have content inspired by the movie. And yes, there are those who are asking for Ryan Gosling or Margot Robbie to be in the game.
