HBO and creatives at Naughty Dog continue to work on Season 2 of The Last of Us. The upcoming episodes will adapt the story of The Last of Us: Part II, so the production team is recreating some iconic locations from the sequel.
Recently some interesting aerial images surfaced showing a part of Jackson, a settlement where important events of the plot unfold. The pictures excited many fans, as they think the set looks great.
Images show Jackson set for Season 2 of The Last of Us
Jackson is a community of survivors who decided to join forces to face the consequences of the Cordyceps and the plague of infected. The place has an important role in both games of the saga, as Ellie and Joel live important things in it.
As expected, HBO wants to perfectly recreate this location for Season 2 of the popular series. The X account The Last of Us News (via DualShockers) shared a series of images of the construction of the incredible set.
The aerial photographs were taken by a drone, so the site can be seen in great detail. According to the details, the construction is between Britannia Beach and Squamish, in Canada. You can see some of Jackson's rustic buildings, a few stables and other locations that we will see on camera in Season 2.
In the first episodes of the series, the settlement was recreated in Canmore, Alberta. The production team decided to make another completely new set for the current filming. Season 2 of the series is expected to debut sometime in 2025. Below you can see the images:
