The Spider-Verse universe will expand with this new production.

Spider-Man is, without a doubt, one of the richest franchises in terms of mythology. For decades, we've seen multiple alternate versions of the web-slinging superhero in comics, animation, and, more recently, in movies. Now, it has just been announced that one of the most beloved variants will finally make the leap to live-action.

In 2018, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was released, an animated feature that showcased iconic variations of the character: from Gwen Stacy to Peni Parker. One of the most beloved versions was Spider-Man Noir, portrayed by the famous actor Nicolas Cage.

It seems that the character's involvement in the film's story was enough to garner a new user base, which is why a live-action series will be produced that may delve into its background.
