There is excellent news for fans of Guilty Gear and fighting game enthusiasts in general. Arc System Works has just revealed Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, an anime that will bring the universe of its popular franchise to television. Below, we share the details of this new production based on a video game.

Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers is the franchise's anime

Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers will be the first television anime adaptation inspired by the fighting game series. It will be produced by SANZIGEN, a studio specialized in CGI that has worked on various animated productions and video games.

For now, the company has not released a trailer for the series but shared its first promotional art, showcasing iconic fighters from the saga. We know that Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers will be part of Anime Expo 2024, an event taking place from July 4 to 7.

Seiji Mizushima and Norimitsu Kaiho, members of the series' creative team, will discuss the project further and are expected to present the first look. The characters in the series will feature the distinctive designs of Daisuke Ishiwatari.

We know that the production will be directed by Shigeru Morikawa. Arc System Works confirmed that the anime will tell an original story with the most emblematic fighters of the saga. Below you can see the first image of the series.
