The PlayStation 5 Pro has been an open secret for several months. Recent reports claim that the revelation of Sony's new console is imminent; however, the company remains silent about its rumored hardware.

What will the PlayStation 5 Pro look like, and when will it be revealed?
Through Dealabs, the most reputable leaker in the industry revealed interesting details about the PlayStation 5 Pro. We're talking about billbil-kun, who has a flawless track record of leaks, never missing a beat. For this reason, his report caught the attention of all gamers.
According to his sources, Sony didn't overthink the name of its new console, as it will simply be called PlayStation 5 Pro, just as many expected. The most striking aspect of his report is that it revealed how Sony's new console will look.
The leaker shared a sketch based on the image that will be displayed on the front of the console's box. The system retains the design of the standard PS5 and Slim; however, it is a bit wider, and its white covers will have 3 black lines in the center.
The source speculates that the console will be compatible with the PS5 Slim covers; however, this is not confirmed. He also revealed that the new Pro console will have 2 USB-C ports and the power button on the front.
As for the system's models, billbil-kun is still uncertain, as he only had access to the box of a PlayStation Pro without a disc drive. Despite this, the existence of a model with a disc drive is a possibility. Sony might also opt for a model with a detachable disc drive.
On the other hand, the report reveals that the console will come with the standard white DualSense that we all know, so there will be no new features in this area. Lastly, we have information about its possible reveal date.
The leaker claims that the official presentation of the PlayStation 5 Pro is imminent, as it is expected to take place in the first half of September. Rumors suggest that Sony is preparing an event for these dates, so it's likely that we'll soon learn more about the system.
What else is known about the PlayStation 5 Pro?
The recent report does not reveal any technical details about Sony's upcoming console. However, previous leaks revealed that, supposedly, the hardware will have the same CPU as a standard PS5; however, it will feature a new mode offering approximately a 10% speed boost. Developers will be able to choose between using the normal mode at 3.5 GHz or the high-frequency mode at 3.85 GHz.
Additionally, it was revealed that developers will have access to 1.2 GB more memory for the overall system. So now they will be able to use 13.7 GB for their games instead of the current 12.5 GB. Lastly, there was talk about the presence of the so-called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), a scaling technology that promises results similar to Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS).
