Today marks a very special occasion for all PlayStation fans, as it's The Last of Us Day. The Naughty Dog franchise is one of the most important for the brand and the gaming industry. For that reason, the studio prepares special announcements every year to celebrate with fans.
One of the most anticipated projects from the saga is the Season 2 of the live-action series by HBO. As many expected, the company decided to release a teaser for the new episodes to celebrate The Last of Us Day, which will undoubtedly excite all its followers.
Naughty Dog and HBO show off Season 2 of The Last of Us
In an official statement, Naughty Dog thanked all the fans for their support of The Last of Us and for celebrating the franchise’s day once again. To reward them, the studio and HBO released a new teaser for the live-action series, which will adapt part of The Last of Us: Part II in its second season.
Of course, the teaser once again shows Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in their roles as Joel and Ellie. It also introduces Catherine O’Hara portraying a mysterious character who clearly has a special connection to Joel.
It’s worth noting that Season 2 will also feature Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac Dixon. Along with introducing several new characters, the trailer impresses with its recreation of the game’s iconic settings.
It’s clear that the action, drama, and tragedy of Naughty Dog’s game will be well-represented in HBO’s successful adaptation. The trailer reaffirms that the new episodes will arrive on the platform sometime in 2025. Check out the teaser below:
